About The Position

Under the direction of the Screenprint Lead and Trainer, the Screenprint Unloader supports the Machine Operator by preparing the machine for screenprint decoration, pulling garments to place on the dryer, and cleaning and preparing the machine for the next order. The role supports automatic screenprint press setup and teardown and involves working with screens, squeegees, flood bars, inks, and other equipment. The work includes varied orders and artwork for Lakeshirts customers.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The wage is $16 per hour. Lakeshirts describes itself as a screenprinting manufacturer that decorates garments and accessories for resort, licensed collegiate, and K–12 markets, with more than 1,000 team members.

Requirements

• Ability to work well in a team.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hours a day.
• Ability to see and hear, and to read and write.

Nice To Haves

• High school education is desirable but not required.
• Previous production experience is preferred but not required.
• An eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down automatic screenprint presses.
• Remove and clean screens, squeegees, and flood bars.
• Replace machine screens and ink for each order.
• Return inks to their correct storage locations and notify the ink-mixing team about needed inks.
• Provide support to the machine operator as needed.
• Identify and clean equipment after press use.
• Follow safety practices, identify problems, and work to resolve safety issues in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Work actively with others to complete the job.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.
