Screen Print Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor in the United States with over 50 years of experience. Our mission is to support the Heart of the Game by providing excellent service platforms that save coaches and administrators time, allowing them more time to impact young lives. This role is responsible for assisting with the production of screen-printed material, including the production, coating, and cleaning of screens, quality checking finished products, assisting on press with loading material and applying ink, and moving material throughout the facility using an RF scanner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General education degree (GED).
- Ability to speak and read English instructions.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to follow orders and proper machine operating.
- Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
- Candidates are required to differentiate and coordinate colors.
Responsibilities
- Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
- Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.
- Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
- Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.
- Operation of machinery used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.
- Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.
- Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
- Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
