About The Position

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands Company, is seeking to hire a Production Associate, specifically a Screen Print Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring that athletes look their best and compete with confidence by working in one of the production areas: Digital Print, Embroidery, or Screen Print. The Screen Print Specialist will be responsible for maintaining machinery, ensuring a clean work area, and performing quality checks on decorated garments. This is an onsite position located at McClellan Park, CA 95652.

Requirements

Familiarity with screen printing machines and software.
Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.
An eye for accuracy to catch irregularities ensuring that we only send out the best product.
A reliable team member that employees can count on every day to be punctual.
Ability to stand for long periods of time with repetitive body movements and lifting of no less than 15 lbs.
Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
HS Diploma or GED (required)
The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure that your machine and work area is cleaned during their shift and before shift end, including disposing all trash and plastic bags, cleaning ink spills, clean all used screens and squeegees by scrapping off excess ink and put in the proper area.
Maintenance of the machine includes ensuring that the press is kept clean and wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.
Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.
Operation of machinery is used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.
Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.
Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.
