About The Position

Alamar is seeking a Scientist I, Technology Development to join its technology development team and work on a novel protein detection platform. The role involves developing multiplex biomarker assays and new technologies in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects. The scientist will collaborate with in-house engineers to integrate and adapt assay workflows to Alamar’s proprietary instrument platform, contributing to life science research and early disease diagnosis.

Requirements

A PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, or a BA with at least 3 years of hands-on experience running ELISA, qPCR, or similar assays.
Experience generating, analyzing, and reviewing data from ELISA, qPCR, or similar assays.
Ability to follow SOPs and document results.
Strong organizational skills.
Self-motivation, a positive can-do attitude, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex projects.
Strong communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing multiplex assays.
Experience in automation or using automated liquid handlers.
Experience in IVD product development with ELISA immunoassay and/or NGS.
Experience using R, Python, or other data analysis tools.
Data management skills.

Responsibilities

Design and execute experiments to develop multiplex biomarker assays.
Apply laboratory skills and experience to generate high-quality data while developing new technologies and biomarker assays.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reagents, methodology, and results.
Analyze data and report results.
Examine the effects of multiple variables on assay performance and troubleshoot as needed.
Support in-house engineers in integrating and adapting assay workflows to Alamar’s proprietary instrument platform.
