About The Position

This role focuses on executing high-throughput protein production workflows for antibody, bispecific, and multi-specific molecules. The Scientist 2 will manage high-throughput purification operations across various expression volumes, utilizing automated and semi-automated AKTA systems. Responsibilities include performing routine QC testing, maintaining lab operations, scaling production processes, and documenting experimental data. The position requires interaction with informatics systems and presentation of findings.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology or biological sciences.
• Applicants with B.S. should have at least 3 to 4 years of industry lab work experience.
• Applicants with M.S. should have at least 2 years of industry lab work experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with protein purification using AKTA/FPLC system.
• Demonstrated wet-lab expertise in handling large sample numbers with exceptional accuracy and data integrity.
• A basic understanding of antibody structure and function.
• Passionate about continuous learning, technical skill expansion, and adopting advanced protein production platforms.
• Strong documentation habits, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with lab automation or liquid handler is a plus.
• Familiarity with mammalian expression systems (CHO/HEK) and transient transfection at scale.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-throughput protein production workflows supporting antibody, bispecific and multi-specific molecules.
• Manage high-throughput purification operations across a range of mid-to-large expression volumes.
• Perform automated and semi-automated protein purification workflows using AKTA system- utilizing various types of affinity resins, polishing steps, along with quality assessment, to yield fit-for-purpose therapeutic molecules.
• Execute routine QC testing using SEC (HPLC) to evaluate purity, monomer content, and aggregation, while providing cross-functional support for concentration, endotoxin, and SDS-PAGE assays and LC/MS.
• Maintain seamless lab operations by formulating buffers, preparing consumables, packing chromatography columns, and performing preventive instruments care.
• Scale production processes through strategic planning and protocol optimization to meet quality and timeline target.
• Interact with informatics systems, document experimental data, procedures, and present findings to the department.
