Axle is seeking a Scientific Program Manager to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) located in Rockville, MD. The Scientific Program Manager VI will provide scientific and programmatic support to the NINDS Division of Neuroscience, particularly the Movement Disorders and Neurodegeneration Cluster (MDN), for management of a complex grants portfolio and related initiatives. The role involves applying neuroscience expertise to assess applications and awards for scientific merit, mission fit, and NOFO responsiveness; conducting portfolio analyses; preparing summaries, briefings, figures, and reports; advising investigators and staff on program priorities and policy requirements; and coordinating workshops, meetings, and cross-NIH activities. Duties include stakeholder engagement, grants oversight, and support for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-visibility MDN programs.
