About The Position

King’s Interhigh is seeking 3 talented and ambitious Science Teachers to join our growing online school as we continue to expand our international provision. The successful candidates will deliver live online lessons from home in the UK, teaching General Science at Key Stage 3 and iGCSE Science at Key Stage 4 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), with the ability to offer a Science subject at Key Stage 5 desirable. Experience of teaching the IB Diploma Programme would be advantageous. Working within a collaborative Science team and reporting to the Head of Subject, the postholder will contribute to high-quality online learning, support student engagement and academic progress, develop effective learning resources, and play an active role in delivering excellent educational experiences to students aged 7–18 across our global school community.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant subject and recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE with QTS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and the education sector
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Adaptable, improvement-focused, and able to thrive in a changing environment
- Experience teaching in primary, secondary, or further education, within state or independent schools
- Experience developing teaching resources and enhancing course delivery
- Confident using technology to deliver online teaching
- Excellent subject knowledge and ability to engage students
- Committed to high-quality teaching and best practice
- Proactive, with the ability to contribute ideas and work effectively with Leaders of Learning
- Passion for online education and student development
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Ambitious and committed to supporting King's InterHigh's continued success
- Must reside in the UK and hold the right to work in the UK
Nice To Haves
- Ability to offer a Science subject at Key Stage 5

Responsibilities
- Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students within the school
- Be up to date on current research and emerging pedagogy and disseminate this to staff through active engagement in professional development with the learning community
- Take a leading role in maintaining a positive and inspirational learning climate in the subject specialism and, where appropriate, the integration of your subject learning across the curriculum
- Support the self-evaluation of the school’s effectiveness and the development of priorities for improvement
- Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile and act as a role model by their professional conduct and disposition
- Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters
- Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to students in a timely manner
- Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities
- Undertake any other work as specified by their line manager
