About The Position

The Science Teacher for Junior High position requires candidates to be licensed in the State of Illinois and be practicing Catholics committed to Catholic education. This role involves utilizing knowledge of current teaching methods, educational pedagogy, and differentiating instruction. The teacher will also need to understand Catholic Doctrine and demonstrate a witness of Gospel values. Responsibilities include managing the Science curriculum and concepts, utilizing data information systems for analysis and action plans, and effectively using computer systems and software. The position also requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with professionalism in all aspects of work.

Requirements

Licensed in the State of Illinois
Practicing Catholic committed to Catholic education
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
Knowledge of differentiating instruction based upon student learning styles
Knowledge of Catholic Doctrine and witness of Gospel values
Knowledge of Science curriculum and concepts
Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans
Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed
Ability to organize and coordinate work
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
Ability to handle confidential and/or official information with discretion
Ability to engage in self-evaluation concerning performance and professional growth
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor
Illinois State Teaching License
Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
