About The Position

The Science Teacher for Junior High position requires candidates to be licensed in the State of Illinois and be practicing Catholics committed to Catholic education. This role involves utilizing knowledge of current teaching methods, educational pedagogy, and differentiating instruction. The teacher will also need to understand Catholic Doctrine and demonstrate a witness of Gospel values. Responsibilities include managing the Science curriculum and concepts, utilizing data information systems for analysis and action plans, and effectively using computer systems and software. The position also requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with professionalism in all aspects of work.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the State of Illinois
  • Practicing Catholic committed to Catholic education
  • Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy

  • Knowledge of Catholic Doctrine and witness of Gospel values
  • Knowledge of Science curriculum and concepts

  • Ability to handle confidential and/or official information with discretion

  • Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor
  • Illinois State Teaching License
  • Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
