About The Position

Browns River Middle School is seeking a certified teacher with a focus of instruction at the 7th and 8th grade level for Science. BRMS is a middle school in Jericho, Vermont consisting of about 300 students in grades 5-8. We have grade-level teams with two core teachers per team. Our teaching model includes differentiated instruction in collaboration with special educators in all Math and ELA classes. Co-teaching plays a key role in our teaching and learning approach. MMUUSD is committed to supporting the success of all learners by eradicating bias in our systems and graduating students with critical literacy and equity literacy skills. Successful applicants will be invested in the success of every learner and expected to engage in continuing capacity building to support diverse learners. Requirements

Certified teacher with a focus of instruction at the 7th and 8th grade level for Science.
Demonstrate an understanding of, and/or have experience with MTSS and UDL.
Knowledge of and ability to design instruction to align with NGSS.
Understanding and experience working within a proficiency-based learning environment.
Strong planning and instructional skills at the middle school level.
Values the importance of data and feedback to inform instruction.
Uses and understands the importance of formative assessment.
