About The Position

Ednovate seeks a Science Teacher to drive exceptional student learning and ensure students meet or exceed ambitious academic and social-emotional standards. The teacher plans and implements a rigorous, standards-aligned biology curriculum, supports a cohort of advisees throughout their time at Ednovate, and contributes to a positive, solutions-oriented team and school culture. The role is suited to educators who believe all students can achieve at high levels and want to grow in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. The position develops and implements digital curriculum aligned with Common Core and NGSS standards, teaches biological sciences through hands-on discovery, and fosters scientific literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and a lifelong interest in science. The teacher creates rigorous lesson and unit plans, monitors student mastery using Ednovate data systems, adapts instruction based on results, provides actionable feedback, and leads project-based learning. Through advisory, the teacher mentors students, supports their yearly promotion requirements, and conducts guided reflection and individual conferences. The teacher also establishes consistent class routines and expectations, builds student community, maintains high expectations, and contributes to collaborative team practices. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the principal. Ednovate is a tuition-free public school organization serving communities with traditionally limited access to college-preparatory education. The role is based in Southern California; a specific workplace arrangement is not stated.
