About The Position

EDU-AIDs is looking for a dedicated 8th Grade Science Teacher (Self-Contained) to join a supportive school team in Phoenix, Arizona. As an 8th Grade Science Teacher, you will create an engaging, student-centered classroom where middle school students develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic success.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate certification for Middle School Science
Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills
Passion for helping middle school students succeed academically and personally

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and standards-based science instruction to 8th-grade students in a self-contained classroom
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Arizona state standards
Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction and support individual learning needs
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth
Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and classroom documentation
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school activities
Work full-time, on-site in Phoenix, AZ
