Requirements

  • 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in a Science or STEM discipline
  • Previous child-centred experience
  • Proactive, dependable, and enthusiastic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Genuine passion for helping young people succeed in Science
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group Science intervention sessions across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting pupils working below expected levels or preparing for GCSE Science examinations
  • Tracking pupil progress and feeding back regularly to the class teacher and Head of Science
  • Aligning intervention sessions with the departmental scheme of work and assessment calendar
  • Building motivating, trusted relationships with pupils to develop their confidence in Science
