About The Position

Provides administrative intervention for students with behavioral problems and facilitates use of educational system opportunities and resources. Help Students Succeed Beyond the Classroom – Become a School Support Specialist in Omaha, NE! Starting Pay: $19-21/hour Full-Time (August–May schedule – summers off!) Shifts: Monday–Friday, school-day hours This position will start August, 2026. Make a real impact on students’ lives by supporting their behavioral and academic success. As a School Support Specialist, you’ll work directly with students, families, and school staff to address behavioral challenges, improve attendance, and connect families to essential resources. This position will serve at an East Omaha school.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum age of 18 required

  • Experience with special needs or behavioral support in school settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative intervention for students with behavioral or attendance issues
  • De-escalate inappropriate behaviors using approved intervention techniques
  • Partner with school staff, students, and families to support student success
  • Refer families to community and Boys Town resources as needed
  • Track student progress and maintain case files and data
  • Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
