About The Position

Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate, self-directed, and organized individuals to support students with speech, language, and communication needs. The school speech-language pathologist works with students who have communication disorders or difficulties, providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to help improve their communication skills. The role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized treatment plans and support students in reaching their educational goals.

Clinical support and leadership are provided, teams are highly collaborative, and assessment and therapy materials are supplied. Team members also receive clinical director support, professional growth opportunities, continuing education and professional development, and mentorship for new school-based SLPs.

Requirements

• Graduate degree (M.A. or M.S.) in communication disorders from an accredited university, recognized by ASHA.
• ASHA CCCs or CF.
• State SLP license or in the process of applying for a license.
• Teaching certificate, or ability to obtain one if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess students with communication disorders or difficulties.
• Diagnose communication disorders.
• Treat communication disorders using evidence-based best practices.
• Develop IEP goals and objectives.
• Monitor progress.
• Collect data.
• Consult and collaborate with related service providers, teachers, and school team members.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized treatment plans and support students' educational goals.
