Ashmore Connection is currently seeking an excellent School Social Worker for a full-time, 3-month contract opportunity in the greater Cicero area for the 25-26 school year. This role is ideal for new graduates and offers a chance to make a difference in education.

Responsibilities

Organizes programs for students, parents and staff pertaining to child abuse, resource development, and educational issues.
Acts as a liaison between students and district by administering conferences, home visits, and additional activities.
Interviews students and relatives to obtain the student's historical information regarding medical, social, and emotional conditions.
Maintains and updates records to ensure accurate information and data.
Contacts state and local authorities for child abuse issues, student behavior problems, and any criminal activities concerning the student.
Attends workshops and seminars to continue to improve skills and learn about current issues affecting students.
Administers and/or supports state and local testing processes and policies.
Assists administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient and safe transition of students from one location to another.
Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
