School Social Worker
About The Position
Join a specialized school team where your mental health expertise can directly support students with significant and complex needs. AnthroMed Education is a team of former educators and clinicians dedicated to supporting school-based professionals, and we’re hiring a full-time School Social Worker in Aurora, Colorado, to begin ASAP and continue through the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. This is an urgent opening within a specialized K–12 school program serving students with a range of disabilities and complex learning needs. The School Social Worker will provide direct mental health services, contribute to the IEP process, and collaborate closely with program staff to support students’ social-emotional and behavioral success.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Must currently hold the appropriate Colorado Department of Education authorization for School Social Work
- Strong collaboration skills and interest in school-based practice
- Comfortable supporting students with significant and complex social-emotional, behavioral, and educational needs
Responsibilities
- Deliver mental health services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Collaborate closely with program staff to address social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Complete IEP-related responsibilities, including evaluations, IEP meetings, and IEP development
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting students with disabilities and specialized learning needs
