About The Position

The School Soccer Activity Instructor leads after-school soccer classes for students in grades K–5 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. The instructor creates a fun, supportive environment where children can learn and play, using provided lesson plans and managing classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10. The role includes a two-day training session, preparing and transporting equipment, attendance and student sign-in/out, communication with parents and school staff, progress feedback, and taking photos during sessions.

Classes last 1–1.5 hours and start between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Instructors work two or more days per week, for a maximum of 2–5 hours weekly. Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Candidates must be local to the US or have a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided. Compensation is $50–$65 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in teaching or playing soccer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and energize classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10.
