About The Position

GardaWorld is hiring a School Security Officer in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area). The role focuses on providing customer service and maintaining safety and security at the assigned school site. Duties include interior and exterior patrols, monitoring and reporting activity, regulating traffic, responding to critical situations, and enforcing client procedures and standards. The position also involves supervising and managing employees at the assigned site and maintaining a professional relationship with the client.

Two schedules are listed: a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (40 hours per week), and a part-time schedule Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. (32 hours per week). Compensation is $17.50 per hour. An active driver's license and CPR certificate are required. GardaWorld describes professional training and opportunities for career advancement. Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• One year of security, military, or law enforcement experience is required.
• An active driver's license.
• A CPR certificate.
• A state license if required.
• Ability to read and write detailed reports.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Experience with access control.
• Ability to enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols around the property.
• Deter vagrants from the property.
• Supervise and manage employees at the assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with the client at the assigned site.
• Exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making while performing duties.
• Observe and survey the area and report activity at the assigned location.
• Regulate traffic and enforce traffic laws on the property.
• De-escalate verbal altercations.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
