About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a School Psychologist in Tempe, Arizona, to support K–8 students through comprehensive assessments, counseling, and behavioral interventions that promote academic, social-emotional, and developmental success. The role involves conducting and interpreting assessments, preparing reports and recommendations, developing behavior supports, providing counseling, and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Arizona School Psychologist Certification.
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience with educational evaluations, individual and group counseling, and school-based student support.
- Knowledge of federal and Arizona special education regulations and behavioral intervention practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments to identify student needs and support academic and developmental progress.
- Interpret assessment results, prepare comprehensive reports, and provide recommendations for individualized educational planning.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide individual and group counseling.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams on classroom consultation, staff training, parent education, and IEP development and implementation.
