Requirements
- Qualified candidates must hold valid licensure for the state they are working in.
- North Carolina: School Psychologist license issued by the North Carolina Department of Education.
Responsibilities
- Administers and interprets a wide range of individualized standardized assessment instruments in all psychological domains.
- Competent in administering and guiding other staff in the administration of achievement tests.
- Conducts effective psychological and psycho-educational diagnostic, prescriptive evaluations of children.
- Completes interventions and instructional support to assist in developing academic skills.
- Assists in writing Individual Education Plans (IEP) and consults on implementing goals.
- Counsel students and parents, pointing them toward further resources when needed.
- Collaborates with the special education team to design and implement intervention strategies and programs.
