About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Psychologist to provide support for students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs and help advance the organization’s mission of positively impacting children and communities. The role involves counseling students and parents, contributing to student support and IEP processes, and collaborating with families, school staff, and other professionals. The position requires compliance with applicable record-keeping, eligibility, timeline, and procedural-safeguard requirements. Pediatric mental health experience or specialized training is preferred.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Psychology.
Have or be eligible for a School Psychologist endorsement as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
Interpersonal skills and effective, courteous verbal and written communication.
Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Nice To Haves

Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support social and emotional development.
Follow federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards.
Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with required meetings and services.
