About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a passionate School Psychologist with an early childhood focus to join their team in Orland Park, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves conducting psychological evaluations for K-2 students to determine special education eligibility, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and parents on IEPs and behavioral intervention plans, providing counseling for social-emotional development, and participating in staff development days and meetings.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in School Psychology
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist Endorsement
- Expertise in cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessment tools for early childhood
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations for K–2 students to determine special education eligibility.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support social-emotional development in early primary years.
- Participate in staff institute days and meetings to align services with district goals.
