About The Position
Cross Country Education is hiring a Paraprofessional in Rochester, NY, to support K–12 students in general education classrooms or through individualized one-on-one assistance. The role involves reinforcing teacher-directed instruction and helping students remain engaged in learning activities. Paraprofessionals provide individualized or small-group support for academic, behavioral, communication, or functional needs and collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote student success, monitor progress, and maintain a positive learning environment. Daily support may include student transitions, supervision, mobility assistance, and other classroom-related responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in educational, behavioral, special education, childcare, or related settings.
- Dependability, flexibility, and commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree or higher.
