About The Position

The School of Education seeks applications for temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2026 – 2027 academic year. Instructors will teach hybrid courses using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies in their areas of expertise. Positions are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer terms, contingent upon enrollment and need. Reappointment may depend on performance and funding availability.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in higher education leadership or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence and experience as a higher education leadership scholar/practitioner/administrator.
  • Experience teaching in organizational theory, higher education finance, or related areas.
  • At least three years of professional work experience in a higher education setting.
  • Ability to submit application materials (cover letter and CV) by December 31, 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in teaching using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies.
  • Experience with mentoring and advising graduate student scholar practitioners.
  • Record of scholarship and publication in higher education leadership or a related field commensurate with a research university.
