About The Position
This is a student employment position within the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University. The role involves monitoring the university's podcast studios, assisting podcasters with technical aspects of production, and ensuring adherence to studio rules. The position is open for the Academic Year 26/27 and requires Federal Work-Study eligibility.
Requirements
- Knowledge of audio and video recording processes and software
- Working knowledge of Hyperdeck Blackmagic switchers, general camera operation
- Understanding of podcasting and podcast culture
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think and act independently
- Federal Work-Study eligibility
Responsibilities
- Monitors the Quinnipiac University Podcast studio in the CCE building and/or the Dome
- Works with podcasters to maintain the room’s cleanliness and orderliness
- Assists podcasters with engineering podcasts (live-mixing sound, camera switching, setting up mics, setting up Adobe Audition)
- Ensures podcasters comply with studio rules
- Other related duties as needed
