About The Position

Part of the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton and housed within the School of Accountancy, the Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG). The CCRG is a premier resource for financial reporting and corporate governance in Orange County, California. Its annual SEC "Hot Topics" Conference in September features leading experts from the SEC, PCAOB, legal profession and industry and attracts over 500 corporate board members and professionals. The center is seeking students interested in joining a fast-paced professional environment with continuous opportunities for students to grow. Students will assist center directors in organizing annual center events.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring center inbox and correspondences
  • Assist staff with planning and organizing the annual SEC Conference & Haskell & White Academic Conference
  • Assist staff with event registration, marketing, & post conference responsibilities
  • Assist staff with center board relationships
  • Assisting with Accounting Department needs, the School of Accountancy and university assessment process & codifications
