The School Nutrition Program Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for The Oaks Academy's school nutrition program across three campuses, ensuring a high-quality, student-centered dining experience that supports student health, learning, and wellbeing. Working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, Food Service Management Company, school leadership, teachers, and families, the Coordinator oversees compliance with Indiana Department of Education, USDA Child Nutrition Program requirements, and school wellness policies while driving continuous improvement in meal quality, student participation, operational performance, and nutrition education. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the school and the Food Service Management Company, providing oversight of contract performance, regulatory compliance, financial accountability, meal quality, and program evaluation. This position also promotes integration of nutrition into the broader educational experience through collaboration with faculty, the Nature School Coordinator, and community partners to foster lifelong healthy eating habits and strengthen connections between food, health, and learning. Founded in 1998, The Oaks Academy is a Christ-centered school that exists to provide a rich, classical education to children of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds, preparing them to succeed in a rigorous secondary educational program and to demonstrate spiritual, social and emotional maturity. Currently on three campuses, serving over 1100 students, The Oaks Academy will continue to grow to serve more children.
