School Nutrition Program Workers are responsible for supporting food service activities at assigned locations. This includes preparing and serving food items to students and school personnel, and maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. The role involves attending training, cleaning, evaluating food, inspecting supplies, inventory management, maintaining sanitation standards, record-keeping, merchandising food items, monitoring kitchen and cafeteria areas, overseeing food preparation and serving (including special diets and allergies), performing other nutritional service positions as needed, preparing food according to recipes, receiving and storing food items, reporting supply needs and equipment malfunctions, and working under direct supervision using standardized procedures.
