This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and storing food in accordance with accepted institutional procedures and Health Department Requirements. The role also involves adhering to all meal accountability procedures, including cashiering. The School Nutrition Assistant will follow daily production schedules, prepare recipes as written, clean utensils and equipment, and utilize left-over food as directed. Proper food storage and equipment maintenance are essential. The position requires adherence to Federal, State, and Local policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as Classified Employees Work Rules and School Nutrition Personnel and Uniform Standards. The role also involves completing required training, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other duties as assigned.
