This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and storing food in accordance with accepted institutional procedures and Health Department Requirements. The role also involves adhering to all meal accountability procedures, including cashiering. The School Nutrition Assistant will follow daily production schedules, clean utensils and equipment, utilize left-over food as directed, and maintain equipment. They must also follow approved instructions for chemical use, adhere to Federal, State, and Local policies, and maintain confidentiality of student and staff information. Required training includes annual local training and a 30-hour Orientation for Nutrition Employees. The position requires the ability to improve job-related skills and take pride in serving students.
