This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and storing food in accordance with accepted institutional procedures and Health Department Requirements. The role also involves adhering to all meal accountability procedures, including cashiering. The School Nutrition Assistant will follow daily production schedules, prepare recipes as written, clean utensils and equipment, and properly store food items. They will utilize and maintain equipment as trained, follow approved instructions for chemical use, and adhere to all Federal, State, and Local policies, procedures, and regulations. The position also requires adherence to Classified Employees Work Rules and School Nutrition Personnel and Uniform Standards, demonstrating an ability to improve job-related skills, and maintaining confidentiality of student and staff information. All required training, including annual local training and the 30-hour Orientation for Nutrition Employees, must be completed. The role may also involve other duties assigned by the appropriate administrator.
