Under limited supervision, you will deliver vital medical assistance and first aid to students in accordance with established school health program procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate student health records while ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal mandates, submitting all necessary reports as required. Your role will be crucial in promoting a safe physical environment; you will maintain the health clinic, ensuring it is well-equipped to address the emergency and medical needs of our students. Your commitment to health and safety will not only support individual student care but also contribute to the overall well-being of our school community. Knowledge of nursing policies and laws as they relate to the medical field in a K-12 school setting is essential. Additionally, the ability to identify and triage immediate needs, providing appropriate interventions, is vital for ensuring the health and safety of our students. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Maintain Current South Carolina Registered Nursing License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Proven ability to take initiative and be resourceful
  • Make sound nursing judgement.
  • Ability to identify and "triage" immediate needs and provide required interventions.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred related nursing experience in a school environment.
  • CPR and First Aid Trainer a plus.
  • Knowledge of nursing policy and laws as it relates to the medical field in a K-12 school preferred.
