Per Diem School Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide pediatric care across charter schools in Pembroke Pines, Florida, supporting students’ health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day. The role provides direct nursing care across school locations, including routine health assessments, medication administration, and management of student health needs. It includes pediatric and pediatric diabetic care, such as blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and implementing individualized care plans as needed. The nurse responds to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies, maintains accurate health records, and communicates with appropriate school personnel. The position follows nursing protocols, infection control practices, and applicable healthcare regulations to promote a safe and healthy school environment. The schedule is approximately 30–35 hours per week, depending on school assignment. Pay is $30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of AHCA Level 2 background screening clearance.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing and pediatric diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.
