About The Position
Hanford Elementary School District seeks a Short-Term School Nurse. The School Nurse performs duties related to student health screenings and immunization monitoring; Kindergarten and/or first-grade physicals; health-related in-services for teachers and other staff; checking and monitoring pupils referred for health needs, illnesses, and emergencies; and monitoring referrals for pupils to community health agencies. Hanford Elementary School District serves nearly 5,500 students across eight TK–6 elementary schools, one K–8 Spanish Dual Immersion school, two junior high schools, and one Community Day school. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license registered in California.
- Bachelor's degree; a copy of the transcript is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health screenings.
- Monitor immunizations.
- Conduct Kindergarten and/or first-grade physicals.
- Provide health-related in-services for teachers and other staff.
- Check and monitor pupils referred for health needs, illnesses, and emergencies.
- Monitor referrals for pupils to community health agencies.
