About The Position
Cross Country Education is hiring an Early Childhood School Nurse (RN) to support the health, safety, and academic success of young learners throughout the school year in Newark, New Jersey. The nurse will provide services across preschool agency locations, maintain student health records and screenings, address individual health needs, and work with families and school staff to support students’ care.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Active, unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications.

- School-based experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive school nursing services to early childhood students across preschool agency locations.
- Conduct health screenings and maintain immunization and physical records.
- Monitor individual student health needs.
- Develop and maintain Individual Health Care Plans for students with significant health conditions.
- Communicate health concerns, allergies, and care needs with families and school staff.
- Provide parent education and health guidance, and help connect families with appropriate medical and community health resources.
- Collaborate with families and school staff to support student health needs.
- Participate in required training and parent-teacher conferences.
