About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide on-site nursing services for a School in Sarasota County, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Florida
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience (preferred)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students in a school setting.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students with multiple disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments
- Monitor students with chronic medical conditions
- Assist with daily health assessments and screenings
- Document nursing services and student health activities
- Respond to student illnesses and emergencies
- Support implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans
- Communicate with school staff and parents regarding student health concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of student health information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
