About The Position

CCRES is seeking a caring and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide health services to students in school settings. Working under the supervision of a Certified School Nurse, the LPN supports student health, safety, and access to education. The daily rate for a School Nurse - LPN is $200 per day. This is an independent contract (1099) position with no benefits. The schedule follows the student academic calendar year from 7:30 am to 2:50 pm, totaling 7.5 paid hours per day on full school days.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI Clearance
• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
• Valid PA License as a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Professional Liability Insurance ($1-3 million coverage)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document student health status and nursing services provided
• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), 504 Plans, and IEP-related health services
• Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records
• Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and other school health initiatives
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student success
