About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Part-Time School Food Service Worker to help provide students with a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team, can work in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming cafeteria. This position typically offers approximately four to five hours of work per day, a supportive team environment, and opportunities to gain food service experience and advance.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to obtain required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.

Nice To Haves

• Basic math and cash-handling skills are preferred.
• Previous food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Serve students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Stock, organize, and rotate food and supplies.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen and serving areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
