Perform routine food preparation tasks, clean up, set up and other duties as needed. This role involves assisting with daily cleaning duties in the cafeteria, operating the dishwasher, scrubbing pots and pans, and cleaning up serving lines at the end of the meal shift. The position also includes organizing food service and dining areas, serving students and staff, and ensuring selections meet federal guidelines for reimbursable meals. Safely operating standard and specialized kitchen equipment is also a key function. The role requires setting up serving lines according to health department guidelines, cleaning work areas, disposing of garbage, and assisting the manager with HACCP procedures. Responding to customers promptly and maintaining courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community are essential. All duties must be performed safely and prudently.
