About The Position

Children of America (COA) is seeking a School Director to oversee daily management tasks, lead a team of educators, and execute educational programming for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. This role involves working closely with senior leadership in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and sharing a passion for early childhood education. The company culture values diversity and unique attributes. The program serves various age groups and offers programs including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp. The School Director will interact daily with parents, senior leadership, teaching and support staff, operations personnel, facilities and custodial teams, and a regional support team.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Advanced knowledge in early childhood education
  • Flexible in challenging situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including industry applications and MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must meet state requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability and willingness to drive and/or travel up to 10% of the time for training, professional development, and organizational meetings

  • Continuously pursue enrollment growth through the execution of the COA Experience
  • Continuously pursue quality care through the execution of our curriculum
  • Manage all day-to-day operations utilizing COA's processes, procedures, and policies
  • Meet all COA performance standards in terms of operations and education as outlined in your annual budget
