About The Position

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within its facilities. The role works closely with staff and students to ensure the school meets high cleanliness standards. The custodian performs cleaning and janitorial duties in assigned areas, follows safety and infection-control practices, completes assignments on schedule, and responds to requests and paging alerts. The starting pay rate is USD $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
• Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas while meeting quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related assigned duties.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
