About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at K–12 schools, colleges, or university campuses. Positions are available at schools throughout Lewisville, Denton, Carrollton, and Flower Mound. Schedules are Monday through Friday during evening hours, with shifts of 4, 6, or 8 hours per day. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Pay is $12.30–$14.00 per hour, paid weekly. No experience or diploma is required, and on-the-job training is provided. This opportunity may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce, and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep floors, remove debris, clean spills, and mop designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager about minor or major repairs or additions needed to building operating systems.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Clean and polish restrooms as needed.
Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
