About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college, or university campus. This is a full-time PM-shift position. Pay is $14.00 per hour; a specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. No experience or formal education is required, and on-the-job training is provided. The role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience.
One year of prior similar work experience.
Military or veteran experience is encouraged; listed Military Occupational Specialty Codes are 92S, 92Y, LS, 3051, and 3F1X1.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager about needed minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel surfaces.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Maintain restroom cleanliness and clean and polish restrooms as needed.
Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
