About The Position

Perform general cleaning and custodial duties in assigned areas of a K–12 school, college, or university campus. The role includes cleaning classrooms and other indoor spaces, maintaining restrooms and food areas, handling recycling and waste, and performing incidental seasonal outdoor tasks. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience or diploma is required. The position pays $17.71 per hour, with the specific offer varying based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep floors, remove debris, clean spills, and mop designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Use chemical cleaners and power equipment according to procedures to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager about needed minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and sort recycling into appropriate receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning supplies and tools.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Clean and polish restrooms as needed.
Comply with company, client, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
