About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable, experienced School Custodial Cleaner to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas of a K–12 school, college, or university campus. The role is also described as suitable for people entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education; on-the-job training is provided. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
No experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service experience.
One year of prior similar work experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep floors, remove debris, clean spills, and mop designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Use chemical cleaners and power equipment according to procedures to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager when minor or major repairs, or additions to building operating systems, are needed.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and sort recycling into appropriate receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel surfaces.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or using hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Maintain restroom cleanliness and polish restrooms as needed.
Comply with company, client, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
