Bright Star Schools is seeking a School Counselor to serve as a designated advocate for students and their families on campus. This role supports students through academics and social-emotional learning, and facilitates communication between students, teachers, administrators, parents, and external programs. The Counselor will be involved in all student and family-facing functions for the Bright Star Schools Campus, ensuring the success of assigned students. The position is full-time, exempt, and operates on an 11-month schedule. Bright Star Schools is a non-profit organization with nine public charter schools in urban Los Angeles, serving over 90% of students eligible for free and reduced lunch. Our mission is to provide holistic, inclusive support for all students to achieve academic excellence and grow their unique talents, preparing them for higher education, career, and life.
