School Bus Monitor
About The Position
First Student is hiring a School Bus Monitor/Aide to help ensure students’ safety during transit. The role involves monitoring student behavior, assisting students as they board and exit the bus, communicating with the driver, parents, and school staff, and supporting the driver during inspections and when backing up. The monitor also helps with emergency evacuations and basic bus cleaning. English proficiency is required because training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications must be conducted in English under applicable requirements, including U.S. Department of Transportation regulations. Early morning availability is required.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Monitor student behavior and ensure student safety during transit.
- Assist with loading and unloading students.
- Communicate with the driver, parents, and school staff.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Support the driver when backing up.
- Assist with emergency evacuations.
- Perform basic bus cleaning.
