About The Position

First Student is hiring a Monitor/Aide in Scott City, Missouri to support safe student transportation. The role involves monitoring passengers while en route, assisting students as they board and exit, communicating with the driver and school community, and helping maintain bus safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities

Know the route and remain alert to monitor passengers’ welfare while in route.
Communicate behavior problems and conditions at stops to the driver.
Assist with pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections.
Assist students with loading and unloading.
Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents.
Attend safety and training meetings.
Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus, including use of the emergency exit door.
Open and close service doors and move up and down bus steps multiple times daily.
Clean the inside of the bus.
Assist the driver, when necessary, in safely directing the vehicle backward.
