Requirements

• Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake Endorsements (or willingness to obtain with free training).
• Satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records.
• Satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
• Ability to pass an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical.
• Tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Driving a school bus or van.
• Ensuring the safety of students.
• Being an essential link between students and schools.
• Participating in random drug and alcohol testing programs.
