About The Position

Voyago is hiring School Bus Drivers in the Grey Bruce region for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time position offers flexible hours, a supportive team, and the opportunity to make a difference by safely transporting students. Drivers will be responsible for ensuring a reliable and positive experience for students, prioritizing their safety, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining the bus, completing required documentation, reporting any issues, and participating in ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Safety focused
  • Hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year
  • Be 21 years of age or over
  • Be a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • Be able to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
  • Have a sound knowledge of Grey Bruce and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available for the required shifts: Monday to Friday approximately 6:30am to 9:30am AND 1:30pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
  • Possess solid communication skills
  • Enjoy being around children of all ages
  • Comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
  • Comfortable driving large vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
  • Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
  • Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
  • Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
  • Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
  • Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers
